* Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize following Israel-UAE accord!
1. President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for helping broker a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
1.1. Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament and chairman to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, submitted the nomination.
1.2. “For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Tybring-Gjedde, told Fox News.
2. In his letter to the Nobel Committee, Tybring-Gjedde wrote that the Trump administration has played a key role in the establishment of relations between the two nations.
3.“Tybring-Gjedde also cited Trump’s “key role in facilitating contact between conflicting parties and creating new dynamics in other protracted conflicts, such as the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan, and the conflict between North and South Korea, as well as dealing with the nuclear capabilities of North Korea.”
4. The president last month made the announcement of the historic peace agreement that would pave the way for full normalization of relations between the Israel and the UAE.
5.With the agreement, the UAE becomes the third Arab country, after Egypt and Jordan, to have full diplomatic ties with the Jewish state.
6. White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, who is married to first daughter Ivanka Trump, helped orchestrate the deal.
7.1. Since 1901, over 100 people have been honored with the Nobel Peace Prize, an honor awarded to people who have “done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses,” according to Alfred Nobel’s concept.
7.2. The Nobel Peace Prize winner is chosen by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which consists of five members appointed by the Norwegian parliament. These members are fiercely independent.
7.2.1. For example, since 1936, Norwegian government officials have been prohibited from sitting on the committee to avoid any hint that the committee’s choice is influenced by the current political government.
8.1.To pick the winners, the Norwegian Nobel Committee considers all nominees, then selects a “shortlist” of five to 20 people for further review.
8.2. Those candidates are then considered for the prize.
8.3.The Committee’s permanent advisors and other experts gather information about the short-listed candidates into reports which help the committee with their deliberations.
8.4. The Committee attempts to reach a unanimous vote through discussions and debates.
8.5.If a unanimous decision can’t be reached by the deadline at the beginning of October, they hold a vote. The nominee with the most votes wins.
9.1. The personality versus his ideology
9.1.1. The Americans, as revealed in many surveys, have only faulted his PERSONALITY, saying he is unpredictable or arrogant and so on.
9.1.2. But few indeed have contradicted the POWER OF HIS DETERMINATION and the strength that he derives in combating evil like China and in delivering welcome outcomes.
9.1.3. His style in dealing with his foreign counterparts is certainly NOT the pedestrian, stiff necked and protocol driven behaviour of his predecessors.
9.1.4. His instant warm responses, I would believe, stem from his self confidence and conviction in what he is talking and doing.
9.1.5. His mannerisms are pleasantly INFORMAL.
9.1.6. All this can be seen in the personal bonding he has built up with our Statesman PM MODI, who too is his natural , relaxed self while meeting his peers from other countries including the mighty U.S.
9.1.7. This contrast gets even more clear when we compare the MODI-OBAMA personal relationship with that with Trump.
9.1.7. I distinctly remember a joint press conference he addressed with Obama in the U.S. at the end of PM MODI’s visit to the country in his first term.
9.1.8. While PM MODI kept addressing Obama by his first name “Barack” and called him a friend, Obama looked LOST in not returning the compliments of MODI.
9.1.8. Which American President has ever called up our PM and offered to mediate during each of the standoff that China has provoked in the past three years? NONE to my knowledge.
9.2. The Israel–UAE peace that he could cobble up is an unimaginable accomplishment for any of his predecessors.
9.3. Be sure, this will trigger a force multiple effect with even the Islamofascist Saudi Arabia, which may follow the lead provided by Trump and patch up with Israel one day not far off.
9.4. Trump has broken a 39-year-old streak of American Presidents
either starting a war or bringing the United States into an international armed conflict. The last president to avoid doing so was Peace Prize laureate Jimmy Carter.
9.5. And if he wins the Nobel Prize, that will further swell his prospects of winning a second consecutive term at the Oval Office.
